Rugby Borough FC thank Nationwide Windows for ‘exceptional support’
An exceptional sponsorship collaboration between Nationwide Windows & Doors and Rugby Borough FC has significantly contributed to the growth and success of the club over the years, and this has been taken to the next level over the 2023-24 season. Support provided by Nationwide has most recently enabled the club to rebrand its stadium, host a Football Festival, and inject substantial investment across its men’s, women’s, and youth teams. The club now has an incredible 87 teams in total! “Nationwide has been a steadfast advocate of Rugby Borough Football Club for more than 20 years,” says Club Chairman Brian Crinigan. “This enduring partnership has played a pivotal role in the club’s growth, and we now have over 1,000 registered players. “In 2023, they generously sponsored our Football Festival, a major event that drew around 200 teams across two weekends, something that really showed their commitment to community engagement. “Nationwide has also made a substantial investment in our youth teams by sponsoring more than 700 training kits, not only enhancing the professional appearance of our young players, but also providing crucial financial support for their development. “This exceptional sponsorship has played a pivotal role in the rebranding of our stadium, now officially named the Nationwide Windows Arena, with massive banners on display to greet visitors and create a lasting impression. “The Nationwide Windows Arena hosts over 2,000 people each week, with an annual footfall exceeding 150,000, reinforcing Nationwide’s connection with the local community.” Brian continues: “On behalf of the club, I’d like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Nationwide, with special appreciation to Daryl Cashmore and Dave Gomersall, who have been instrumental in fostering this relationship. ‘Spot On’ Sponsorship for CS Colts
Kevin Caveney, Nationwide’s Director of Commercial Sales, handing over the cheque to CS Colts Centre Spot Colts Football Club (CS Colts), established to help children from disadvantaged communities in the Black Country, has received £2,000 in sponsorship from Nationwide Windows & Doors (NWD), to support them in the outstanding work they do. Formed in 2010, CS Colts has gained a reputation for excellent coaching while providing an environment for players to develop and progress. Over the last 12 years, they have helped 38 players sign for professional football academies. A huge majority of CS Colts players, more than 70 percent, come from inner city areas and from low income families. “We started the club at the request of parents who wanted their children to play somewhere that offered a safe and fun environment,” said Manny Abbeyquaye, Director of Centre Spot Colts. “As well as having the benefit of being trained by highly experienced coaches. “The last few years have been extremely challenging for most of the families our players come from. The pandemic, and now the cost-of-living crisis, have had a negative effect on the income of our families, which has meant that in some cases they can no longer afford for their children to play football. “Although our club is designed to make access to our teams as affordable as possible by reducing costs and charging the least fees, some players are still missing out.
