Putting tenants first for a successful partnership

Cheltenham Borough Homes (CBH) prides itself on the top-quality services it provides, evidenced by high levels of customer satisfaction. This is in no small part achieved by working with trusted and reliable service providers and supply partners.

This brings operational efficiency, high standards of quality, and regulation compliance, while fostering collaboration and innovation, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances – all contributing significantly to the overall success and effectiveness of any ongoing projects.

CBH, an Arm’s Length Management Organisation (ALMO) responsible for the management and maintenance of Cheltenham Borough Council’s housing stock, comprising more than 5,000 general needs, sheltered and leasehold properties, puts its customers at the heart of what they do and actively seek engagement to help shape services and decision making.

This has certainly proven to be the case with the long-term relationship with Nationwide Windows & Doors (NWD), starting back in 2016 when they successfully tendered for and were awarded two contracts, one for the replacement of PVC-u windows & doors, and the second for fire-rated and non fire-rated GRP composite doors.

The working relationship between the two organisations has proved successful and during this time approximately 4,700 homes have been fitted with new windows, with 4,800 composite doors installed.

“CBH has been very satisfied with the ongoing service Nationwide Windows & Doors has provided,” commented Julian Denslow of Cheltenham Borough Homes.

“Importantly, the quality of their products have stood up to scrutiny, independent testing, and use, which is testament to NWD’s designers, fabricators and installers.

“CBH always put its tenants & leaseholders first, and the experience and care NWD’s fitters display when interacting with them shows that they share this philosophy.”

The remit of CBH has developed significantly since its inception in 2003. In that time, they have delivered major milestones and realised the potential to positively affect wider local aims, showing a commitment to community involvement and development.

As well as delivering high quality landlord services, they build homes, regenerate communities, provide services to help younger and older people, and support people to find employment. It’s this community spirit that also resonates strongly with NWD.

Kevin Caveney, Director of Commercial Sales at Nationwide, commented: “It’s always a pleasure to partner with an organisation like Cheltenham Borough Homes that shares our passion for customer care, quality, and community.

“We’ve been proud to contribute to the region over the years we’ve been working together and we established an installation hub in the Gloucester area in 2016 to service the contracts while supporting the local community.”
